BSc. OT (1995) University of Alberta. Extensive training in neuro rehabilitation including brain injury and spinal cord injury. Founded BBT in 1998 and Concussion Care Community Clinic in 2013. Educator and presenter at conferences and workshops as well as the University of Manitoba. Special interest in working with clients and families living with brain and spinal cord injury. Enjoys leading and mentoring her clinical team to provide effective and comprehensive Occupational Therapy services to overcome limitations and impairments.
Nicole specializes in neuro rehabilitation, including brain injury and spinal cord injury, ADHD, complex behaviour management and forensic youth services.
Fun Fact:
Growing up in Regina, Saskatchewan, Nicole learned and participated in building her family cottage, including the foundation and brick walls. The highlight of her adolescence and young adult life included working at Camp Easter Seal. It drove her passion to help and work with people who have disabilities. It was the driving force that helped her pursue an education and career as an OT.

Ashlyn strives for:
Continual growth, integrity, strong positive relationships, prioritizing a healthy mind and finding moments of joy.
Training:
Master’s of Occupational Therapy (2008) University of Manitoba. Training in vocational rehabilitation, specializing in concussion recovery, cognitive rehab., and mental health. Ashlyn is certified to provide the Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP) and is a BrainFX 360 administrator. Educator at the University of Manitoba for the School of Med. Rehab. Attends conferences and training workshops regularly. Special interest in working with clients who face barriers to participation in their home and work lives. Enjoys providing education to clients and their families to foster a collaborative approach to rehabilitation.
Ashlyn specializes in vocational rehabilitation, concussion recovery, cognitive rehabilitation and mental health.
Fun Fact:
Ashlyn grew up outside of the city and regularly spends time in rural Manitoba. She comes from a big family and would choose a family dinner on the farm over a night out in the city. Travel and exploring new places is a big passion and she hopes to eventually visit every province and territory in Canada

Alison Rieger, O.T. Reg. (MB)
Alison strives for:
A connection between healthy body and mind, new experiences to foster personal growth, empowerment and laughter.
Training:
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (2010) and Master’s of Occupational Therapy (2013) at the University of Manitoba. Within Block Building Therapies, Alison provides consultation assessment and treatment services to clients with a variety of ages and abilities, including Community Assessments, Hospital Discharge Planning, facilitation of a successful Return To Work and Driving Anxiety Program. Alison is committed to lifelong professional development and regularly attends conferences and training workshops to expand her areas of knowledge and keep up to date on best practices.

Fun Fact:
Alison loves adventures and trying new experiences, and has been a certified scuba diver since her teenage years. In her downtime, Alison loves to spend her days boating or on the beach with her three children.

Tanya strives for:
Positive relationships and co-creation of treatment plans with clients to ensure clients are actively engaged as equal partners through the process, along with supporting people to find deeper meaning, fulfilment and balance in their life.
Training:
Master of Occupational Therapy (2012) at the University of British Columbia. Bachelor of Psychology, Honours (2008) at the University of Manitoba. Professional experience in mental health and physical and cognitive rehabilitation in the areas of traumatic brain injury (TBI), orthopedic, return to work, ergonomics and youth justice. Most recently Tanya has specialized in holistic mental health treatment, with a focus on mindfulness, reactivation and exposure therapy. She completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training certification (2016) as well as a year-long Life Coaching Certification program (2018). Tanya is committed to ongoing professional development and attends conferences and training workshops regularly.

Dée-Ana Marion, O.T. Reg. (MB)
Dée-Ana strives for:
Growth, balance, and positive change, both personally and for those around me, including clients and their families.
Training:
Master in Occupational Therapy (2018) from the University of Manitoba. Dée-Ana has training and education in neuro rehabilitation, specifically brain injury. Certificates obtained include: Neuro Rehabilitation from Brock University; Foundations in Brain Injury Rehabilitation from CAOT; and Supporting Individuals with Challenging Behaviours (2022 workshop). Dée-Ana is currently working on increasing her training and knowledge in spinal cord injury. She is always seeking ways to improve her expertise by seeking regular workshops and education opportunities.

Fun Fact:
Dée-Ana loves to be active and was a student athlete for the University of Manitoba Women’s Hockey Team while completing her Undergraduate Degree. Though no longer playing competitively she continues to enjoy engaging in sports and exercise daily, including daily walks with her dog Bella. Dée-Ana also enjoys spending her time cooking and will never say no to an opportunity to go out for a good meal with friends and family.

Sarah Brown, O.T. Reg. (MB)
Sarah strives for:
Strong personal and professional relationships, finding common ground amongst conflict, opportunities for continued education, and advocating for mental health education to help increase support for people in their workplaces.
Training:
Sarah graduated with a BA in psychology in 2014 and with her Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) in 2020. She specializes in mental health and provides Exposure Therapy and Behavioural Reactivation programs to clients with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other mental health diagnoses. Sarah has a special interest in working with folks with trauma to help them increase their comfort zones and capacities to reclaim meaningful parts of their lives that have been obscured by trauma symptoms. Still being relatively new to the field, Sarah also enjoys getting to work in a variety of other areas when possible.
Sarah specializes in mental health and provides Exposure Therapy and Behavioural reactivation programs to clients with PTSD, anxiety, depression and other mental health diagnoses.
Fun Fact:
Sarah love music and have enjoyed singing in bands and choirs throughout the years. Taking in live music is one of her favourite things to do, loving the way it brings very diverse people together. Some of her favourite shows have been Begonia, Coldplay, and Daughter.

Luke strives for:
Advocating for client rights, developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients and funders and helping people find an optimal balance in their function, work, leisure and life in general.
Training:
Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (2005) at the University of South Australia. Honours in Criminal Justice (2015) at the Flinders University of South Australia. Professional experience in mental health and physical and cognitive rehabilitation in areas of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), spinal, orthopedic, amputee and burns. Most recently Luke has worked in the youth justice and refugee health sectors and has completed research projects in partnership with academics from the University of South Australia. Luke is committed to ongoing professional development and attends conferences and training workshops regularly.
Luke specializes in mental health, and physical and cognitive rehabilitation in area of Traumatic Brain Injury, spinal, orthopedic, amputee and burns.
Fun Fact:
Luke has returned to Manitoba and Block Building Therapies after nine years back home in Australia. He grew up in a small town in South Australia, but his career has taken him across the country and the world. After marrying a Canadian and with a son born in Winnipeg and a daughter born in Australia, his household is exactly half Canadian and half Australian.

Training:
BHEc (1997) University of Manitoba. With an interest in empowering communities, I’ve had the opportunity to live in multiple countries and have shared my training in some of the following programs: Instructed at CAHP (Centre for the Achievement of Human Potential) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Program Coordinator for an International Family Program at University of Texas at Austin, Assisted in developing and presenting the International Outreach Program at the NAFSA (Association of International Educators) Region lll Conference in Monterrey, Mexico. Engaging in multiple demographic groups, I enjoy the diversity of opportunity my education and experiences offer me in professional practice.

I enjoy the richness that travel and living globally has brought me in my life particularly in how it has shaped my love of diversity amongst individuals, sharing quality time with friends and family especially around great meals and finding how we all can find ways to connect through our shared experiences.

Kristy strives for:
A peaceful life. She strives to learn as much as possible when it comes to how to help people deal with mental health issues and bring them to a place of peace as well. Everyone is different, and everyone finds peace in different ways.
Training:
Kristy has had her Bachelor of Science in Human Nutritional Sciences since 2007. She is also a highly trained fitness instructor. In the last 5 years she has started to focus more on Eating Psychology and is currently attaining her Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology. With Block Building she specializes in mental health and provides Exposure Therapy and Behavioural Reactivation Therapy to clients with PTSD, anxiety, depression and other mental health issues.
Fun Fact:
Kristy loves to bake and read in her spare time. She is also the kind of person that loves to have many things going on at the same time to fulfill all of life’s goals and help others in the process.
